Isaac Walukagga

Isaac Walukagga is a Partner in the firm's Litigation team, specialising in dispute resolution. He has extensive experience in commercial litigation, tax litigation, debt recovery, employment disputes, real estate and construction disputes, corporate compliance, and criminal law. He has handled complex, high‑value cases before the High Court (Commercial Division), Supreme Court, Tax Appeals Tribunal, and the COMESA Court of Justice.

He has advised an international road construction company on an integrity compliance investigation involving the African Development Bank, represented an international bank in the recovery of USD 3 million against a multinational entity, and represented a top multinational liquor manufacturer in a tax dispute valued at over USD 1 million. He has also been involved in transfer pricing advisory work, commercial arbitration, and procurement and disposal disputes. He completed secondments at Stephenson Harwood, 3 Verulam Buildings, and Essex Court Chambers in London.

Isaac holds an LL.B from Makerere University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Uganda, a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Practice from the East African School of Taxation, and an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) – United Kingdom. He is a former Senior Lecturer at the Law Development Centre and a member of the Uganda Law Society, the East African Law Society, the International Bar Association, and the Commonwealth Lawyers Association.
