Caroline Mbabazi

Caroline Mbabazi is a Partner in the Energy, Mining and Infrastructure Practice with over 15 years' experience specialising in commercial law, with a focus on the energy, mining and infrastructure sector. Her primary practice area is Oil and Gas Law.

She has advised on a variety of commercial transactions in the oil and gas, energy and infrastructure sectors and has participated in key transactions that have shaped these sectors in Uganda. She was part of the team that participated in developing the national strategy and plan for petroleum transportation and storage in Uganda, and has participated in several land acquisition and resettlement as well as infrastructure projects.

She also has experience in environmental law, land transactions, conveyancing and insolvency law. She has been recognised by IFLR1000 as a Notable Practitioner in 2024.

She holds an LLB (Hons) from Makerere University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, and is admitted as an advocate of the High Court of Uganda.
