Kenneth K. Kiapi

Kenneth K. Kiapi is an Associate in the Litigation team, specialising in dispute resolution, with a strong focus on debt recovery, banking litigation, property conveyancing, land and corporate litigation, employment disputes, estate planning and succession, data protection, and intellectual property law.

He has acted for a transport and logistics company in a debt recovery matter worth USD 1,800,000 against a leading financial institution, for BestPack Uganda LTD and TATA (U) LTD in numerous debt recoveries valued at approximately USD 450,000 and USD 400,000 respectively, and for Longhorn Publishers in debt recoveries valued at UGX 1,700,000,000. He has also acted for Intel Corporation in trademark infringement proceedings, for 18 financial institutions in a copyright infringement suit, and for an international energy fund against a labour claim in excess of USD 1 million. He regularly represents several commercial banks in debt recovery and mortgage matters, and advises on the administration of large estates worth over UGX 10,000,000,000.

Kenneth holds an LL.B (Hons) from Makerere University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Uganda. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and a member of the Uganda Law Society, the East African Law Society, and the Employment Law Alliance.
