James Mukasa Sebugenyi, SC

James Mukasa Sebugenyi, SC is the Managing Partner of S&L Advocates and a Senior Counsel with extensive experience in commercial litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution. He has handled a wide range of litigation and arbitration matters across key sectors, including commercial and corporate law, real estate, product liability, constitutional law, property fraud, telecommunications, energy, utilities, employee benefits, and aviation negligence.

James has served as President of the Uganda Law Society (2011‑2013), a member of the Law Council (2010‑2013), and sat on the Management Committee of the Law Development Centre (2014‑2016). He serves on the boards of a mining company, an insurance company, and a resort hotel and golf club. He has been a trial advocacy trainer under the Justice Advocacy Africa cohort since 2014 and has participated in numerous seminars and conferences globally as a speaker and faculty on litigation practice.

He holds an LL.B (details not specified). He is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society.
