Fabian Omara

Fabian Omara is a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group at Dentons in Kampala, Uganda, specialising in dispute resolution, commercial litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. He has over seven years of experience resolving complex disputes across insurance, employment, banking, land, and intellectual property sectors.

Fabian has represented clients before various judicial forums, including courts of law and specialised tribunals such as the Industrial Court, Tax Appeals Tribunal, and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. Notable matters include representing the national environmental regulator of Uganda in challenging an award of over US$1 million in a judicial review action; a leading car importer in a tax dispute before the Tax Appeals Tribunal involving an additional administration tax assessment of US$2 million; a leading general insurance company in an application for compensation worth over US$69,000; and an international property management and valuation company in an action for compensation of over US$300,000 for copyright and trade secret infringement. He has also advised on estate planning and legacy protection, including the establishment of living trusts, drafting of wills, guardianship arrangements, and sealing of foreign probates.

Fabian is a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East Africa Law Society.
