He has also acted for the Central Bank of Uganda in defence of a $3 million breach of statutory duty claim, for the German Development Agency (GIZ) in defence of a breach of contract claim, and for the United Nations Federal Credit Union in various loan recovery actions. He has been part of a team acting in a class action lawsuit on behalf of over 1,236 claimants against the Government of Uganda for the recovery of unpaid terminal benefits arising from the restructuring of the Uganda National Roads Authority.
Hussein holds an LL.M in International Litigation and Arbitration from New York University (Hauser Global Scholar), an LL.B from Makerere University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Uganda.
