Isaac Newton Kyagaba is a Partner at Dentons in Uganda, specialising in arbitration and mediation, construction and engineering disputes, and employment and labour law. He has advised Livingstone International University on an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity construction contract worth US$2.5 million; represented Bisons Construction Limited against Kampala Capital City Authority in an arbitral dispute worth US$2 million; and represented Motorcare (U) Ltd in a Tax Appeals Tribunal dispute challenging an administrative additional assessment of UGX 6.7 Billion, resulting in the entire assessment being vacated. He has also represented four different banks in various court litigations involving mortgages with subject matter values totaling approximately US$10 million, and acted for the President of Uganda in the 2016 presidential election petition.
Isaac holds an LL.M in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from Leeds Beckett University (2020), a Masters in International Business Administration from Ecole Supérieure Libre des Sciences Commerciales Appliquées (2016), an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam (2008), and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Kampala (2009).
