Fiona has advised on significant transactions including SN Power Invest Netherlands on its acquisition of a 49.75% stake in Bujagali Energy Limited (the largest hydro power project in Uganda); ResponsAbility Renewable Energy Holding on due diligence for two hydropower projects; Prudential PLC on the proposed acquisition of a 73% stake in GenAfrica Asset Managers; a leading communications company on the proposed acquisition of a majority stake by Dentsu Aegis Network; a European gaming company on the acquisition of the national lottery business in Uganda; a Swiss mining company on a majority stake acquisition valued at approximately USD 100 million; and the acquisition of a telecommunications operator in Uganda valued at USD 100 million. She has also advised Leapfrog Strategic African Investments on its proposed acquisition of a stake in ICEA Lion Group, TPG Growth III on a 45% stake in Azam Television Group, and a government agency on the regulatory framework for a Public Private Partnership highway project funded by the IFC.

Fiona holds an LL.M in Commercial Law from the University of Birmingham, a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, and an LL.B (Hons) from Makerere University. She has previously worked with Bowman Gilfillan Attorneys in Johannesburg and served placements at a former FTSE 100 mining company and with Slaughter and May in London. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and a member of the Uganda Law Society and East Africa Law Society.
