Esther Ntale

Esther Ntale is a Senior Associate at Dentons in Uganda, specialising in banking and finance law, private equity, and corporate governance. Her practice covers corporate finance, sovereign lending, and project finance, where she plays a pivotal role in negotiating favourable financing terms and ensuring legal compliance for both lenders and borrowers.

Esther has advised a regional bank on the Ugandan law aspects of a €200 million term loan facility to the Government of Uganda; a leading global bank on an Islamic‑based €180 million loan facility for infrastructure development; a regional financial institution on the 100% acquisition of a Tier 3 financial institution in Uganda, including due diligence and loan portfolio review; and Gateway Metroplex Limited on a US$11 million facility from a leading commercial bank. She also advises private equity institutions on investments, due diligence, transaction documentation, and enforcement matters.

Esther holds an LL.B from Makerere University (2017) and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Kampala (2018). She is a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East Africa Law Society.
