He has handled significant debt recovery mandates for banks, including a US$ 100 million recovery against a local investor, a US$ 7 million recovery against a flower growing and exporting company, and a US$ 4 million recovery involving suits in both the Land Division and Commercial Division of the High Court. He also advises on employment disputes and has acted for the Central Bank in a pension dispute involving former employees.

Ernest holds an LL.B (Hons) from Makerere University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Uganda.
