Racheal Kembabazi

Racheal Kembabazi is a Senior Associate at the firm, focusing on Banking and Finance Law. She specialises in banking and finance law, advising several banks and customers on a range of legal issues.

Her experience includes asset-based lending, asset finance, bilateral and syndicated lending, financial institutions regulation, drafting, review and negotiation of financing documents and opinion letters, and perfection of securities. She has also carried out due diligences on behalf of banks in respect of potential customers and legal compliance requirements.

Racheal has advised companies and individuals on legal, regulatory and transactional matters, including regulatory affairs, legal due diligence, corporate finance, commercial contracts, compliance and risk, company law and company secretarial matters. She has developed sturdy expertise in banking and finance, corporate finance and advisory, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre. She is a member of the East Africa Law Society, the Uganda Law Society and the Tax cluster of the Uganda Law Society.
