Mucunguzi Emmanuel

Mucunguzi Emmanuel is a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group at Dentons Advocates Uganda, specialising in dispute resolution, commercial litigation, and corporate advisory. With over seven years of progressive experience, he advises clients on complex legal and commercial challenges across financial services, private equity, energy, manufacturing, healthcare, and agriculture.

Emmanuel has acted for Rhema Medical Group Limited in a high-value breach of contract dispute, securing recovery of over UGX 200,000,000; leads recovery litigation efforts for two full-service retail banks, resulting in significant recoveries on non-performing loan portfolios; obtained a landmark injunction protecting the Plaintiff's rights to 2,000 acres of land; and represented a major distillery in a US$1.64 million tax dispute, negotiating a consent resolution that avoided protracted litigation. He also served as Legal Advisor during the formation and structuring of a UGX 10 billion joint venture in commercial agriculture, providing end‑to‑end guidance on contractual documentation, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
