Bruce Musinguzi

Bruce Musinguzi is a Partner at Kampala Associated Advocates (KAA) and co‑head of the firm's taxation practice. He specialises in Tax Law, with extensive experience in tax litigation, tax planning, and dispute resolution, as well as banking and finance, commercial litigation, and arbitration.

He has represented a leading oil company in a capital gains tax dispute worth over USD 490 million and a leading telecommunications company in a UGX 320 billion dispute against the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) involving corporation tax, VAT, and excise duty. He has advised major clients including CNOOC, Total Uganda Ltd, Tullow Oil, UMEME, Bujagali Energy Limited, Standard Chartered Bank, and Multichoice Uganda. He has also represented the Uganda National Roads Authority in infrastructure project disputes, defended MTN in a suit regarding the legality of mobile money transactions, and successfully recovered over USD 20 million on behalf of banking clients in the last two years.

Bruce holds an LL.M in International Tax from Georgetown University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Law Development Centre, and an LL.B from Makerere University. He was recognised as a Rising Star by Chambers and Partners in 2020. Prior to joining KAA, he worked as a legal associate with PwC (USA) and JP Morgan in the United States. He is a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society.
